The Old Brook Pumping Station 2026
The station is dominated by the two diesel Campbell engines, which are single cylinder, and are situated either side of the main engine hall as a handed pair. The engines drive the large 14in. Blackstone Unchockable pumps via a leather belt. Other exhibits include a Columbia printing press and an Aveling & Porter 'Q' type diesel roller.

Manufactured by the Campbell Gas engine Company of Halifax, the engines are started by compressed air at 210psi. There are two interconnecting air receivers with their original petrol and electric compressors with switch gear. The engines were mainly used during storms and flooding, the electric pumps being used for the everyday pumping.
