Abbey House Museum 2025
Yorkshire
A working four-sailed tower windmill, the last working mill in East Yorkshire, set in an acre of land with magnificent views over the Wolds. The mill is unusual as it still has all its original outbuildings around the courtyard. Some of these buildings have been converted to form the Museum of East Riding Rural Life.
Operator: East Riding of Yorkshire Council
Address: Beverley Road Skidby Cottingham Yorkshire HU16 5TR
Alternate Sat-Sun from 1 Mar. 1000-1230, 1300-1700. Visit website for more details.
Skidby Mill is being renovated by a firm of professional millwrights. While works are ongoing, the sails of the mill have been removed to prevent damage. This means we are unable to sell any of our flour and the mill tower is closed for safety.
