Gathered together over a number of years this special collection represents a wide cross section of industry that operated in and around Calderdale. Some of the machines are the only surviving examples in the country and have been placed in settings to try and recreate a close representation to the time when they were fully operational in the not too distant past. The engines in the Power Gallery are now powered by steam and at least two will be running on selected dates throughout the year, including 18th April, 2nd May, 16th May, 30th May, 13th June and 27th June. Further dates will be announced.
