The glass cone is 100ft high and 60ft wide at its base. It has operated for more than 150 years and is a Grade II* Listed, Scheduled Ancient Monument. Built in the period 1788-1794, it is only one of four surviving glass cones in the UK, and, of these four, it is the best preserved. It is situated in the historic Stourbridge Glass Quarter and next to the Stourbridge Canal.

Visitor Centre: Mon-Fri 1000-1500. Sat-Sun 1100-1600. The Grade II * Cone structure is now open after restoration. The Hot Glass Studio is still closed at present. Visit website or facebook for more details.
Glass manufacturing was once the lifeblood of the local community and a significant part of Britain's manufacturing strength. The site also hosts several independent craft studios which provide a range of products and activities including pottery, art, glass crafts and sewing. Everyone is welcome to explore this rare structure and learn about the industry, people and products of the glass sector.
