New Mills Heritage Centre 2024

The centre provides information on the area from local, industrial and the natural history, and can suggest walks and trails that include places of interest to visit as well as looking around the museum on site. By 1775, the industrialisation of textile production was in its early stages, and so early mill builders were attracted by the same fast flowing rivers of soft water, which provided both the power and the means of processing fabric production and printing.
