The museum tells the story of North Craven. Detailed models of transport by pack-horse and an example of a temporary cabin as used by the navvies on the Settle-Carlisle railway. Learn about the wide range of local occupations, building styles and traditional ways of life in the western Dales. Closed until the summer for renovation.

Built in 1679, The Folly is one of the Yorkshire Dales’ only Grade One Listed buildings. It started life as a gentleman’s residence, but it has also been a farm, a lodging house, a holiday let and even a fish & chip shop.
