It is located in the peaceful surroundings of Stacey Hill Farm, built early in the Victorian era as a model farm. On the outskirts of Wolverton, which is one of the UK's original "railway towns". Today the buildings overlook the "new city" of Milton Keynes but when they were built they were in the middle of the countryside.

The museum’s local social history collections allow visitors to experience the area’s domestic, industrial, agricultural and transport heritage. Housed in a beautiful Victorian Farmstead, our large and constantly changing selection of displays have something for all the family.

Come and use the historic telephones and switchboards; see the museum’s Victorian Parlour, schoolroom, toy room and laundry; make toast in the kitchen; or listen to an air raid in the museum’s Anderson Shelter. Also visit the street of period shops; practice brass rubbing in the chapel; see our hall of transport.
