Step back in time for a journey you will never forget, experience the grandeur of travelling between Douglas and the south of the Island on a Victorian railway, perfectly frozen in time.

Set in the heart of the Irish sea, off the north west coast of England lies Britain's best kept secret – the Isle of Man. The Island developed a thriving tourist industry and much of the Victorian infrastructure remains, including one of the largest functioning networks of steam and electric railways.

At Douglas, the Island's capital, you can head to a choice of destinations in the South by Steam Railway, these include the ancient monastery of Rushen Abbey, the impressive Castle Rushen and a number of sheltered, sandy beaches. At the opposite end of Douglas promenade you can step aboard your tram car and travel northwards towards Laxey, containing the world’s largest waterwheel called 'Lady Isabella'.

Laxey is the starting point of the Snaefell Mountain Railway, a unique Victorian enterprise which winds its way up above 2,000 feet to the top of Snaefell, the Island’s only mountain. At the top enjoy refreshments and sunset dinners in the Summit hotel Cafe, on a clear day one can see the six kingdoms. The kingdom of Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland, Mann and Heaven.

Designated coach parking, set down and pick up points are available nearby most main stations as are cafes and toilets.
