How many times have you wondered just what happened to those little cars you used to play with, or that old dolls house that appeared one Christmas morning all those years ago? Well, they're here – complete with all the memories. The exhibits represent a journey back to childhood and each one must be keeping the secrets of thousands of happy hours spent by children and their limitless imaginations. The museum contains one of the finest private collections of toys in the North of England with a particularly fine display of early English wooden dolls.
Old or young there is certainly something for everyone at the museum.
