The mine is the key centre within the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. The tin and copper mining industry dominated Cornwall for centuries and the remains of the industry can be seen throughout the county. Cornish miners and engineers were recognised as the world's finest in the development of hard rock mining.

Dramatically situated on Cornwall's Atlantic coast, Geevor was a working mine until 1990 and is now a fascinating visitor centre. Explore all there is to see on site including an underground tour whjich will take you back in time to an early 19th century mine.
