Carriages of Cambridge 2025
This began by building the station with a signal box and sourcing Pullman style carriages, with a 1920s station house and even the flagstones for the platform, including some vintage commercials. As well as being a unique place to wander around, it is a perfect setting to catch up with friends and family while enjoying an afternoon tea with a difference.

Carriages is the brainchild of Michael Attle inspired by a visit to a restaurant located in a colonial railway station in India. On his return, he was offered and bought the station platform from Oakham. This experience, combined with his desire to celebrate the amazing food scene across East Anglia, was the start of the journey.
This project has been a labour of love for all involved. The highest attention to detail has been paid to this project even down to the weight of the cutlery, quality of the bone china and vintage style glasses and cake stands.
Together Michael and his team have created a truly stunning venue nestled amongst the display gardens at Bannold in Fen Drayton, Cambridge.
