Cambridge Museum of Technology 2025

Working museum with original 1895 Hathorn-Davey steam pumps and boilers, 1909 94hp National Gas engines. Other exhibits include 1845 horizontal steam engine and collection of working letterpress printing equipment. Hands on pumps. The boiler has been restored to working order.

The museum stands high above Cambridge and the surrounding area, being the tallest building for miles around. Standing beside the beautiful river Cam between Stourbridge Common and Midsummer Common, the museum shows the progression of power technology through steam, internal combustion, to electricity.

The exhibits in the museum include working engines, telephone exchanges, printing presses and many more wonderful and interesting contraptions.
