Welsh Coal Mining Experience – Rhondda Heritage Park 2025

Learn how the miners, colliery owners and communities lived while Rhondda coal powered the world. Explore the courtyard and original mining artefacts – drams of coal, the Anderson bomb shelter and the Old Forge where the blacksmith worked on the colliery horses. Trefor winding house contains an 1890 horizontal twin cylinder winding engine. Two steam hammers and two diesel locomotives are also on display.
