It is the only preserved corn mill in the west of Ireland, which dates back to 1613. The museum showcases the history of milling and the life of the miller and his family, with its original waterwheel, millstones, gears, and other machinery. You can learn about the different types of corn and flour that were produced in the mill, and how they were used for baking and brewing.

The Miller’s House is a charming cottage that was built in 1820 for the miller and his family. It has been restored and displays various artefacts and photographs that illustrate the domestic and social aspects of milling. You will see how the miller and his family lived, cooked, slept and entertained themselves in this cosy dwelling.
You can also enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the River Nanny and the nearby parkland, where you can relax and listen to the soothing sound of the water.
Also known as Little Mill, it is a hidden gem that offers a glimpse into a bygone era of rural Ireland.
