The lead mines offer a fascinating glimpse into the industrial past of the beautiful Clywedog Valley and visitors can explore the country park seeing remains of the lead processing areas from the 18th and 19th centuries, the restored beam engine house, winding engine and boiler houses. There is a country park covering 53 acres of grassland, wooded areas and archaeological sites.

The lead mines are set in a country park below Minera Mountain which is open all year round for people and their dogs. Sensible shoes should be worn.

There is an article in Vintage Spirit magazine issue 263 June 2024 on the Lead Mines for a more detailed look on the industrial site.
