The museum boasts a variety of interesting artefacts most notably a Heinkel bubble car located on the ground floor gallery. The museum attempts to reflect the social, industrial and cultural life of County Louth and this objective is to be seen in the diverse nature of its collection. The Heinkel was the only car ever made in Ireland, many were assembled but the Heinkel was made in Dundalk.
