Sat 5th - Sun 6th Sep 2026 Trains & Tractions @ The Tunnels

Miniature traction engines operating on both days along the promenade by Ramsgate Tunnels to Ramsgate Harbour.  On the Sunday only, miniature railways also operating on the promenade next to the tunnels (tourism attraction and museum).  Rides on both miniature engines and trains are £1 per person.  The Sunday also sees a free to enter model railway exhibition in the tunnels themselves.

The event is organised by Canterbury & District Model Engineering Society in conjunction with Ramsgate & District Model Engineering Club, supported by Ramsgate Tunnels and Ramsgate Town Council.

Guided tours of the tunnels – which provided a network of public shelters during the Second World War – will be available at usual prices but must be booked in advance via www.ramsgatetunnels.org.
