Sat 14th Apr 2018 The Man Engine

The largest mechanical puppet ever constructed in Britain will be paying a visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town.

The spectacular Man Engine crawls at 4m high and ‘transforms’ to stand at 11.2m high. The team behind the Man Engine, Golden Tree Productions, are creating a bespoke visual, theatrical and aural experience for the Blists Hill event, highlighting the area’s recognition as being the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

There will be two parts to this event – a daytime event and an evening event.

Visit website for more details and booking.

The Man Engine, powered by Volvo, steamed the length of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site last summer, unearthing a deep lode of passion and pride. Now, the colossal feat of engineering is set for his Resurrection Tour across Cornwall and Devon, before he drives further into Somerset, South Wales, Yorkshire, Shropshire and Derbyshire.
