Sun 11th Aug 2019 Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival

Opens 10am to 7.30pm.

This is the 44th year of the event which will feature a traditional road making display depicting scenes from the latter part of the steam engine era and the early diesel era. It will feature teams drawn from the four corners of Ireland and we are especially happy to also welcome one of the original Dorset steam fair's road making teams in joining us on the day. Some of the steam engine line up can be seen in full working mode within the exhibit involving themselves in stone crushing, road grading and road rolling demonstrations throughout the day while the road making teams, dressed in traditional garb, busy themselves in roadway preparations and other entertaining and interesting crowd pleasing activities throughout the day.
