Waltham Windmill & Museum of Rural Life 2025

This six storey and 6-sail working tower windmill was built in 1878 by John Saunderson of Louth. Within the grounds of the windmill there is a miniature railway, a museum dedicated to rural life with an RAF Grimsby Exhibition. Also Grimsby telephone museum, an old sweet shop selling favourites from the 1920s-1970s and a café housed in the body of an old Great Northern Railway six-wheel carriage.

The mill has two pairs of French millstones (for grinding flour) and two pairs of Derbyshire Peak stones (for grinding coarser materials such as animal feed).
