Thorpe Camp Visitor Centre 2024

Constructed in 1940 as No.1 Communal Site RAF Woodhall Spa. The wartime base for 97, 619, 617 (Dambusters), and 627 Squadrons RAF Bomber Command. The centre tells the stories of the airfield and its Squadrons and civilian life in Lincolnshire during WW2 through to the Cold War era. Aircraft displays include an English Electric Lightning, Fairchild Angus, Tiger Moth and a Lancaster fuselage. As well as a Westland Wessex Helicopter, Bloodhound Missile, Buccaneer and many other displays.
