Thelnetham Windmill 2025
Also known as Button's Mill, this is a Grade II* Listed tower mill that stands on the edge of Thelnetham Fen. Dating from 1819, it is one of only four preserved tower mills in Suffolk. It is a small four storey mill with four Patent sails. It drives two pairs of millstones by wind, with a third pair driven originally by a Portable steam engine, then an oil engine, now a Ruston & Hornsby diesel engine.
