Steam Herring Drifter – Lydia Eva 2026

The only coal-fired steam herring drifter ‘Lydia Eva’ and side fishing trawler ‘Mincarlo’, the last of her kind. A floating tribute to the men who braved the North Sea to provide fish, she is the last surviving fishing vessel built in Lowestoft with an engine made in the town. Both are floating museums of the herring fishing industry.
