The heritage centre was the former Officers’ Mess at the Old Military Camp in Stiffkey, which has now been generously refurbished. There is also a small display on the history of the Military Camp.  Stories of working boats and lifeboats and the people who built, owned and crewed them – and conserving our national maritime heritage by doing this.
