Brindley’s Mill & James Brindley Museum 2024

Dating from 1752, the mill was restored by the Brindley Mill Preservation Trust to a working corn mill. It is the only known corn mill attributable as the work of James Brindley, millwright and canal engineer renowned as the pioneer of the canal system in Great Britain. The wheel works two sets of stones via an internal pit wheel, with original octagonal wooden vats and original timber main shaft.
