Sat 20th - Sun 21st May 2017

Kempton Steam Museum

Kempton Park Waterworks, Snakey Lane, Hanworth, TW13 7ND

See the world's largest working triple-expansion steam pumping engine in action. Housed in a magnificent Art Deco building, the museum preserves one of London's most important steam heritage sites. Attractions include a fine display of stationary engines, one of the UK's only working mercury arc rectifiers, two steam turbines and a wealth of instruments and equipment. Guided tours will take you up on one of the two Triples and you can enjoy a cup of tea and home-made cakes. Children will love a ride on Darent, our 1903 narrow-gauge locomotive. Open 10.30am-4.00pm; adults £7; concessions £6; under-16s free. Railway tickets sold separately.
