Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak, many attractions are delaying their 2020 season until at least early July and event organisers are cancelling or postponing their events. There will be no public events until early July at the latest.

While we will try to update the information on this site as much as possible, we cannot guarantee to have all the information we would like. Therefore we urge you to check the latest information on the attraction or event’s website or Facebook pages, and to contact them before travelling to avoid disappointment.

Sun 30th - Mon 31st Aug 2020 Stott Steam Engine Running & Crafts

Anson Engine Museum 2020

The Stott mill engine at the museum has been lovingly restored by our volunteers and will run on live steam, over the Bank Holiday Weekend. The engine has the power of 250 horses. The 10ft flywheel is cast in iron and weighs 10 tons on its own. Although the smaller steam engines at the museum run every month during the season, the Stott engine will only be run on specified dates. The Craft Centre at the museum will also be in operation. Everyone is invited along – for a great day out.
