Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum

Housed in the original terminal building, recalls the era when Foynes was the centre of the aviation world between 1937-1945. Board the world's only replica of a Boeing B314 flying boat. The new maritime museum exhibit covers the history and personality of the River Shannon from Limerick down to Loop Head. Enjoy the new 3D hologram show which takes you back to October 1943 to the night Irish Coffee was invented in Foynes by Chef Joe Sheridan.
