Never heard of George Green?

Not too many people have, even though he was one of the most remarkable scientists of his – or any other – age.

You can visit his windmill and buy the award-winning organic flour.

After almost 40 years of successful milling since its early 1980s restoration, Green’s Windmill is in need of significant maintenance work requiring the temporary removal of its sails.
