Brooklands Museum 2020

1907 Clubhouse
1907 Clubhouse

The birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, with the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit, constructed in 1907. A wide range of motoring and aviation exhibits ranging from racing cars and motorcycles to Hawker and Vickers/BAC-built aircraft, including Concorde. Inside the Bellman Hangar an ‘Aircraft Factory’ environment has been created, harking back to the hangar’s original use as a manufacturing building. Exhibitions explore the history of aircraft manufacture – from the pioneering early aircraft of wood and fabric, to the supersonic airliner and the technologies of the future.
