Avro Heritage Museum

It is situated on the site of the old Woodford airfield. The current museum site was donated by BAE Systems when the airfield and aircraft assembly plant closed down. The airfield fire station building has been converted into a state of the art museum and was handed over to the Avro Heritage Trust in May 2015. In the museum grounds Vulcan XM603 is being restored, initially by weather protection including a repaint. On the days the museum is open it will be available for close up viewing. Inside the museum the nose section from XM602 is being restored with the intention to be available for internal viewing.
